UPDATE: Auburn Police searching for suspect in double murder, kidnapping

UPDATE, July 11:
AUBURN, Ala. – On July 10, 2025, the Auburn Police Department, in conjunction with the United States Marshals Service, FBI and Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, located the suspect’s, Aaron Dontay Williams’, vehicle in Giles County, Tennessee. Additional agencies responded to the area.
At approximately 7:15 a.m. on July 11, 2025, Aaron Dontay Williams was taken into custody without incident. The missing child, Jibreel Harun, was also located unharmed, and officials are in the process of reuniting him with family. Williams will be taken to the Giles County Jail to await extradition.
The Auburn Police Department would like to thank the United States Marshals Service, the FBI, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Alabama Fusion Center, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the Giles County Sheriff’s Office, Huntsville Community Corrections, the Huntsville SWAT Team, the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Parole, the Elkmont Police Department, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Central Alabama Crime Stoppers, and the entire Auburn community for all of the assistance they provided to this investigation.
UPDATE: July 11:
On July 11, 2025, at approximately 7:15 a.m., the United States Marshals Service, in conjunction with the FBI and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, took Aaron Dontay Williams into custody. The child was also located unharmed. The investigation is currently ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Auburn Police Department Investigations Section at 334-501-3140.
July 10, 2025:
AUBURN, Ala. - On Thursday, July 10, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers from the Auburn Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Samantha Court in reference to a welfare check. When officers arrived on scene, they entered the residence and located a deceased adult female and a deceased juvenile female. Officers were additionally notified of a three-year-old male juvenile who was missing from the residence.
Aaron Dontay Williams, the husband of the deceased female and father of the missing child, was not at the residence when officers arrived. Police believe that the missing child may be with the father, traveling in a gray 2010 Honda Accord displaying Alabama tag 43A224A.
The missing child is three-year-old black male, Jibreel Harun. An Amber Alert has been issued as the child is believed to be in imminent danger.
The suspect, Aaron Dontay Williams, is described as a 41-year-old Black male with a medium skin complexion. He is 6’1” and weighs approximately 240 pounds.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding Aaron Williams’ location to contact the Auburn Police department at 334-501-7313 immediately. The public is advised to call 911 and not to engage Williams if spotted as he is believed to be armed and dangerous.
